At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, a position as Researcher in environmental and genomic data integration is open for appointment from 15 November 2026 or soon hereafter. 

Your work tasks     
The successful applicant will coordinate efforts on data integration and FAIRification of genomic, metagenomic, and environmental, and geographic data from public repositories as well as internally produced datasets. The coordination will include code development, code review, package administration, and generation of interfaces (including graphical and command line). The researcher will also lead the description of efforts on both curation and FAIRification of genomic and environmental data in the form of scientific publications and conference presentations. The researcher is expected to lead and coordinate interactions in an interdisciplinary team involving internal and external collaborators from multiple fields.

Your Competencies

•    A master's degree, in Bioinformatics or Biostatistics
•    Excellent oral and written English language skills are a requirement 
•    The applicant must be interested in working in an interdisciplinary research environment
•    Coding experience in Python and/or R
•    Experience with automation and workflow technologies
•    Interest on environmental genomics and microbial ecology
