At the department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology, The Faculty of IT and Design, a full-time position as Research Assistant in Architecture is available from September 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, untill 31st of August 2028.
The position is affiliated to the architecture research environment at Aalborg University which is characterized by a diverse and interdisciplinary research environment that integrates and holistically addresses the interrelation of architecture and engineering with the overall purpose of strengthening the quality of the built environment along with the quality of human and non-human life. Your work tasks
The position includes both research and teaching obligations. In close collaboration with relevant colleagues the research assistant will be involved in selected research projects and will take part in various teaching and supervision tasks, primarily within the bachelor’s program in Architecture and Design, as well as in the Architecture Master program.
We are looking for a candidate with an academic degree in architecture, preferably with relevant research and teaching experience. The candidate should have strong collaboration skills, the ability to work independently and systematically, and be motivated to engage in a dynamic research and teaching environment.
It is an advantage if the candidate is proficient in both written and spoken Danish and English.

You will be employed at the Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology at Aalborg University and anchored in the section of Architecture and Urban Design and specifically affiliated the Integrated Architecture research group, which has a human-centered approach to architecture with the aim to design and operate sustainable built environments.

Salary and terms of employment
