Job description:
CLAAUDIA is an interdisciplinary team of ten experts in data science, infrastructure and data management. We work together to help researchers achieve AAU's research goals by ensuring accessibility, utilization and guidance in the use of modern research infrastructure and good data management. We are ISO 27001 certified and work according to ITIL principles where we are committed to creating a secure research infrastructure for researchers, teachers and students.
CLAAUDIA is looking for a new colleague with developer skills who can help lift automation and development. This will include application development for research support and system programming for HPC platforms.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be tasked with:
- Case management of incoming development tasks from our consortium collaboration- DeiC Interactive HPC
- Development tasks for systems and services to support research at AAU
- Contributing to the design and integration of local and national research IT services
- Validation and improvement of existing IT services based on feedback from researchers and colleagues
- Performing programming tasks/application development for consortiums
- Handling problems, changes, maintenance windows and documentation
- Participating in projects with regard to developing new research services where you collaborate with internal and external actors
- Monitoring our solutions
- Designing and implementing solutions that improve our systems.
Qualifications:
We imagine that you:
- have knowledge of technology e.g. C#, Git, database technologies, Azure Devops
- have experience with development languages, e.g. Kotlin or Java
- feel at home in Python
- have experience with Linux and possibly virtualization platforms, e.g. OpenStack
- have knowledge of Kubernetes and container technology(Docker, etc.)
- have knowledge of and possibly experience with full stack development
- are enterprising and independent with a sense for delivering good service
- can maintain an overview and are good at communicating with all types of users
- are good at communicating both orally and in writing in Danish and English.

The position is in the CLAAUDIA team which is part of the unit Digitalization and Transformation(DOT) in AAU's overall IT organization– AAU IT Services(ITS).
This position is at Fredrik Bajers Vej 1, 9220 Aalborg Øst.
Working hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00-15:30 and Friday 08:00-15:00 with the possibility of flextime.

The position is a permanent full-time position of 37 hours and is to be filled by 1 March 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Interviews are expected to be held either week 3 or 4 2024.
In context to a possible second interview, a DISC profile will be prepared.

Løn og ansættelsesvilkår
AGREEMENT
Employment and salary are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the state sector, including the Organisations of Public Employees collective agreement. Qualification-based supplements may be granted, subject to negotiation.
There is a 3-month mutual trial period.
