As we expand our portfolio of customer projects, we are seeking an experienced Product Assurance (PA) Manager to lead our product assurance efforts on several satellite projects and missions.
As the PA Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the assurance activities on customer projects. You will guide the development and implementation of PA practices that meet high customer requirements while accounting for our projects' scope, duration and budget. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and implementing de-risking strategies that align with both ECSS standards and our project constraints, optimizing product quality without compromising efficiency.

Your Responsibilities
- Lead PA Efforts on Customer Projects: Develop and oversee product assurance plans tailored to customer requirements and ECSS standards, striking a balance between high assurance and the practicalities of budget and timeline.
- Formulate and Implement PA Processes: Taylor and apply ECSS product assurance standards in a way that is scalable for short-duration projects (12-18 months), ensuring compliance without imposing excessive costs or delays.
- Describe and Improve Processes: Be a driver in documenting and describing the current processes within the company as well as compare this with market-trusted standards to provide continuous improvement on the companies PA activities.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Evaluate project-specific risks and implement de-risking strategies that are effective within the project scope and resources, ensuring a pragmatic and value-creating approach to risk management.
- Customer and Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary PA point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and clearly communicating PA processes, trade-offs, and outcomes to meet customer expectations.
- Project Lifecycle PA Oversight: Ensure PA requirements are integrated from project initiation through delivery, including design reviews, test planning, and validation activities.
- Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned: Develop feedback loops to capture insights from completed projects, refining PA strategies and processes to improve future project outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and project management teams to align PA requirements with project goals, supporting seamless integration across departments.
- Training and Development: Train project teams on PA requirements, ECSS standards, and best practices in risk management, fostering a culture of quality across the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Aerospace, electronics engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or certifications in ECSS standards or product assurance for aerospace is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in product assurance roles within the aerospace, satellite, or high-reliability sectors, with a track record of managing PA processes on customer-driven projects.
- Risk Management Skills: Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation, with the ability to prioritize de-risking activities based on project constraints and customer requirements.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage customer expectations, convey complex assurance concepts, and foster alignment with internal teams.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical skills to assess project risks and develop adaptable PA solutions.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of guiding cross-functional teams towards common quality and assurance goals.
