Your position
In this newly created role within our LEAN department, you will join our highly dedicated Site Construction Team in Aalborg, where we are currently in the process of constructing six offshore substation platforms. Here, you will step in as the catalyst and on-site, local quality support, driving us to elevate the overall quality performance across Semco Maritime's value stream and project execution.

You'll have a wide range of exciting tasks related to quality assurance, giving you the chance to roll up your sleeves and put your extensive quality toolbox to good use,” says Peter Carlsen, Director, Site Operations

Your tasks & responsibilities
Your key responsibility will be to enable further strengthening of the organisation’s learning capabilities by anchoring a systematic, effective approach to the quality improvement cycle on site. Therefore, your mission revolves around the entire construction team in Aalborg, making them your key players, while also building a strong partnership with the Quality group function.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Developing, maintaining and implementing the 2024 Quality Excellence Program in close collaboration with the local construction, management, HSE and LEAN team on site in Aalborg
  • Supporting identification, data collection and symptom classification 
  • Analysing trends from reporting systems
  • Facilitating root cause analysis with relevant stakeholders 
  • Creating proactive, data driven improvement plans 
  • Conducting quality awareness & competence training to support our quality-focused culture
  • Providing hands-on, on-site quality improvement support to the construction team in the day-to-day operation

Your profile & qualifications
As a person, you possess a proactive and curious mindset, with a methodical and hands-on approach to your work. Given the international and dynamic construction environment, your role will involve continuous interaction with various stakeholders. Therefore, you should thrive in a position that where you have daily communication with many stakeholders and align well with the construction site culture.

To succeed in the position, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

  • Experience in the execution of quality activities
  • Quality experience from similar projects or industries
  • Knowledge of legal requirements
  • Familiar with HSEQ disciplines
  • Fluency in English, verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate easily and effectively with stakeholders on all organisational levels
  • A safety and quality mindset with a passion for renewable energy

The position is full-time, and you will be part of our LEAN department based in both Esbjerg and Aalborg, reporting directly to Head of LEAN. Your place of work will be at our construction site located in Aalborg, and you can expect up to 30 travel days per year.
